Today’s strip was a lot of fun to draw because it’s a lot different from the usual front yard/secret lab/living room scenery. In fact, I already had most of the drawing work for this particular strip done a few weeks ago.
I often like to put little references to pop-culture (and in-jokes for my colleagues) into the backgrounds of my comics. This one contains a reference to one of my favourite games of all time but I’m wondering if anyone will actually notice it.

Paul, you’re absolutely right; the third panel in this comic is almost an exact copy of a scene from ‘Fate of Atlantis’ (one of my favourite adventure games of all time). I thought it should be pretty obvious myself, but apparently not that many people instantly recognized the trinkets stand. Below is a screenshot for comparison;
