Fun fact; today’s strip is one of those very rare occasions where the fact that I don’t live in a native English speaking country has an impact on the storyline. Originally, the punchline was going to be “He keeps telling us he’s going ‘to space’, so keep on searching, we’ll find those narcotics!”. You see, over here in The Netherlands, ‘spacing’ is slang for using drugs. It was only after I tried to confirm that it’s also slang in English speaking countries that I realized that I made a big mistake and had to change the dialogue at the last second.
